What are the differences? I was under the impression (wrongly) that contractual weddings were more done by shias?
Mutah = Nikah with time limit..........not allowed in Sunni Mazhab
Misyar = Nikah (No time Limit) with out Rukhsati....practiced in Saudi and Egypt.

As far as i know Misyar is a marriage where the woman lets go her rights like Mehar and the maintenance.
