Doesn’t it just annoy you when you have had lot’s of clothes stitched from yout tailor in Pakistan, didn’t get to try everything on there and come back home abroad to find 2-3 outfits are not quite correct fitting wise!!!
I have 3 suits I have just adjusted myself, which itself is a problem as I am not a sewer, but I do own a sewing machine my mum bought me at school in the hope that her daughter might be a good dress maker like her…hahahahaha
Anyway, I had 2 shirts and an anarkali dress which the tailor made a little too tight so I have just loosened them, but the dress was not very straightforward as it has panels and triangle kalis in it so they were not aligning IUKWIM
I have been known to send something back another time to have it altered there and my in laws giggle and say…" what you still havn’t worn that outfit yet" lol
I will always try everything on but this was from before and he didn’t hand me all my things till the same day as my flight so there was no time.
I totally understand your pain…I had some suits made this year when I was in Pakland,but due to hungame and strikes and load shedding,I only got a few as I was leaving.The rest were sent on later.The worst was really deep gale…I don’t like them.But a few had weird fittings.I gave my machine back to my mum..(bummer)…and now I need it back.
It always happens when I give a bunch of outfits to be made..why do darzis always give your suits the night before you leave,even though you tell him you are leaving two days before…
how awful....I feel your pain :)Actually this was the only time he gave my suits the night before, and he still didn;t beleive I was flying out...I would have knocked his head if he hadn't still to finish my clothes lol
This also sometimes happens if my hubby is bringing me things over and of course I am not there to try them on, but I am always telling my hubby....please usse kehna ke size ma farak nahi aii and it's not always a big blunder but so annoying if I have to adjust things myself.
I was trying to adjust a anarkali style casual dress yesterday, icouldn't do it becasue the kali are getting spoilt when I do the fitting so that will have to go back to the tailor next time. The normal shirts I managed no problem. ooooohhh tailors, you just can't live with them can't live without them
