Seema Rizvi, she was a singer introduced by late Moin Akhtar and newspapers ran stories of her affair with him. She had good voice and even charming face but then she disappeared suddenly.

Seema Rizvi was probaly relative of of Tasmina - Zulfiqar Shaikh and PTV producer Ali Rizvi . She came from London. sung a song for a TV show (ek shaam Aanch ke naam - A show where they invited team of Drama Aanch). She also did a Lollywood movie against Moin Akhtar and there were rumors of affair between them. She then disappeared and might be in London

i heard there was this beautiful lady, Mussarrat Nazir, who happened to be a good singer as well...do you guys know where is she now and what is she doing?

Musarrat Nazeer might be in her 80s. She lives in Canada. She started as an actress and did some amazing performances in movies like 'Zehr e Ishq' and 'Shaheed'. She then moved to Canada in 1960s after marrying to a Pakistani - Canadian doctor . She came back in Pakistan during 80s, sung some Punjabi folk songs (which are sung y Surinder Kaur in Indian Punjab) and then disappeared by 90s.

She is sister of tasmina sheikh, i remember her songs used to play in ptv morning transmission at that time. She was also in video of junaid jamshed's ajnabi. I think she only acted in 1/2 dramas (can only remember kashkol).

This legendry actress is going through financial crisis. As she appears in this Geo News report, she also seems to be in poor shape both physically and mentally.

The late and great journalist Khalid Hasan, an avid fan of both Mussarat Nazir and Madam Noorjehan recounts a very interesting incident in his commemorative essay on the latter. When Mussarat Nazir returned to Pakistan in the 80s having spent 20 plus years in Canada, she created a near sensation with her rendition of tappay and wedding/folk songs. Her popularity reached such dizzying heights that Madam Noorjehan (not known for being particularly large hearted) was forced to release her own album of similar songs which sank without a trace. As per Khalid Hasan madam threatened Ms. Nazir of dire consequences including black magic (in her most colourful truck driver lingo) if she did not return immediately to Canada which she did. never to return to the limelight again. Very amusing no?

I have heard another story relating to Madam Noorjehan. In the 50s, there was a singer Zubaida Khanam. She had a sweet voice and was becoming very popular, bringing Noorjehan market value down. So to get rid of her, Noorjehan put something in her meals/drinks and after that Zubaida's voice got hoarse and she couldn't sing anymore. I don't know if this story is true or not, but one thing is for sure that Noorjehan never let anyone coming in her way.

lolzzz.... well no doubt she was/is a legend with an exceptional voice but a controversial person, have read many facts in manto's loud speaker.

Manto died soon after partition (January 1955). Madam’s personality and controversies related to her continued till 1990s. Do you remember Tahira Syed’s comments about Madam while she compared her with Lata. That was an OMG statement

hahaha that was an awkward moment… actually i mentioned manto’s book to highlight that she was controversial from the beginning. There were many other controversies related to her but i think its better not to mention them

irsa ghazal was very attractive too...I think her last performance was in piyasi [not humtv one]......with firdous jamal.....n she was in single play called cat walk wid saira khan n saleem sheikh...another topclass single play...
Irsa is Faiza Gailani's cousin. We went to the same college. She told us Irsa is happily married and lives with her family in Canada.
