I’m sure we all understand the importance of establishing prayers.I would be lying if I claim that I never missed any prayer. Hypothetically speaking if you start praying at the age of 25, means you missed prayers for like 10 years. When it was made madatory to all of us at the age of 15(age differs) do you guys think as a muslim it is our duty to make up for the all the missed prayers? We call it a Qazayay Umri.My maulana emphasized the importance of making up the prayers. At first I thought it was impossible but when he broke it down it looked very simple. It takes only 30 minutes to pray 5 times at once. Besides your daily prayers if you take out 30 minutes everyday you can make up in 10 years assuming you started praying at the age of 25. If you dedicate only an hour(nothing compared to what we spend watching movies and other activites) that means 10 times prayer and you will be done in 5 years..make sense? I’m interested to know what other muslim sects believe about Qazaye Umri?
a better suggestion is to pray an extra prayer with each prayer....
i.e. 2 qadha fardh after fajar, 4 fardh qazaa after zuhr etc etc....
and ofcourse tawbah is a must too....
P.S. the concept of a 30 or 50 rakaat prayer making up as qazaa for all prayers missed is quite dubious and baseless....
