Did any one watched the latest episode of “MISS MATCH” on NBC yesterday???
It was based upon the traditional Indain Custom of Arranged Marriages & The Bride running away(not literally) from the marriage(While watching the program,I just thought of someone else on GS facing the same challange now a days)…
Sita Param played the role of “Rashmi(26)”…Forced by her parents to marry an Indian Doctor,Sanjay(Played by Tareq Kabir-The guy also appeared on NBC’s “Average Joe”),a Cardiologist to be exact…With whom she is not in love at all…
Kate Fox(Alicia Silverstone)…the Lead girl of the Serial…(also the same girl from "Those Wonder Years"where she was Fred Savage’s Dream Girl)…Tried to help Rashmi to get away from all this mess…but couldn’t suceed…Later on it was known that Rashmi was in love with Raj(Sanjay’s younger brother)…
& On the Marriage day…Rashmi & Raj some how by Kate’s help got managed to explain their love feelings to each other & end up getting married…
It was a good episode…And above all Indian Community & Customs were shown in a very good manner…
The episode also depicted that Indians make up a "good proportion of"high Middle to Upper Class of the US Society! & are just not restricted to the Convenient stores only (Like a Desi Shown in The Simpsons)…
