I really liked last year’s(2005) Miss Venezuela. But since the country spends so much money on their contestants and since almost all of them get plastic surgery done, it’s inevitable that there are going to be some beautiful ones.
Still, I liked 2005’s Monica Spear(1st pic) http://mv2004.cjb.net/
I didn’t like the 2004 one(Ana Karina-2nd picture) that much.
The 2003 one was just ugly(Mariangel Ruiz) http://www.mariangelruiz.com.ve/frames.htm
I didn’t like 2002 either. Cynthia Lander(3rd Picture)
chiaiman what reality show did you see with all the miss india 2006 contestants....was it on sony? Oh man! I missed it. I saw something like that last year for the contest but this year there was nothing.:(
^i didn't see the show cuz i dont have indian channels but i downloaded the actual show from a torrent site and they had a curtain raiser rite before the event.
The reality show came on Zoom. It was called Banungi Main miss India.
^ya they have one every year. and the winner from each country(US/UK/France etc.) goes to Miss India worldwide but the franchise for Miss India Worldwide and Miss India US is owned by the same company so Miss India US won over her.
My favorite Miss India was Lara Dutta, when she won the Miss Universe contest about five years back. She was tall, thin, and was so well-spoken and articulate, that everyone knew from the start that she was going to win it. I remember being blown away when she gave her interview--the other women sounded so vapid and dumb compared to her. Even the commentators were impressed. Too bad she sticks to cheap roles in Bollywood. I was hoping she'd do more artsy films, like Shabana Azmi or Tabu.
^ That's what i like about the indian delegates. Out of the 70+ Miss Universe Contestants there are many pretty faces and lots of great bodies but a lot of them lack the confidence, elegance and brains to be Miss Universe. Too bad the focus of Miss Universe has shifted from wellrounded women to modellike women with nothing up there.
I'm watcing the contest on SOnyTV right now...
the winner they chose is perfect!
she looks really pretty live, but yeah I must admit..she wasn't lookin pretty in the pics in this thread..
but yeah..just wanted to let everyone know that she actually is really pretty, really tall, and super intelligent!
^that's really good to know cuz her figure looked so good and i guess she spoke well too. That hopefully just means she's just not that photogenic.
Raatkirani, Lara Dutta spoke in such a sophisticated way during the last part of the filmfare awards that I actually wished she had been the main host for the whole show.
I just wish that the judges were people who are fashion designers, previous contest winners or atleast not bollywood actors and directors because I don't think they have any idea about what are the important qualities needed to win the international pageants.
i didn't know that so many of the contestants were so intelligent since quite a few of them are software engineers as well as models like parineeta and some others ones.
I do think that Neha Kapur was the right choice since even if she isn't conventionally good looking, her answers were well thought out and she looked very confident in just the way she carried herself.
All the top ten contestants' spoke eloquently during the question session. I didn't see even one of them make a stupid mistake. These contests are good in way because they allow these women to show off their talents, how to eliminate stagefright, build up their confidence even more and present themselves well. I'm all for that.
She's not ugly...but i think some of the other girls were more beautiful, and shud have won...but it's true...when ur representing ur country in these pageants i think they look for beauty first, but other qualities about the person count too.
