Misbah retires from international Twenty20s ESPNcricinfo staff

    Pakistan captain [Misbah-ul-Haq](http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/player/41378.html)  has announced his retirement from international Twenty20 cricket. He  has played 39 Twenty20 internationals, captaining in eight and averaging  37.52 with three half-centuries. His last Twenty20 assignment was the  three-match series against England in the UAE, which England won 2-1.

**PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf has said that Mohammad Hafeez will take over as Twenty20 captain from Misbah.

Did Mr tuk Tuk step down himself or was he forced to step down?

Pakistanis whether politians or sportsmen dont like to step down and like continue even though the circumstances may demand it.

Anyway, Hafeez is a bits and pieces players, dont really like him or rate him.

Good news, and I think Hafeez needs to above politics like Misbah has been in all formats to manage khaleefa culture in Pakistan team from old heavy hitters.

Hafeez needs to raise his personal game with the bat as well.

Now what about ODI team?

Looks like he was forced to and it might be a phasing out plan by PCB. However i agree with it, T20 was not for Misbah.

Yaayy.. Good ridden. He should reconsider himself for ODIs as well. He is just not meant for limited overs.

The look on Misbah’s face is not good…he seems pretty upset…I really wonder why though? He should have been relieved to relinquish this role since it really was not his Forte’.

No Misbah bashing comments please…post constructively.
