I think Misbah has good attitude. Series is already lost. Performance in ODIs would determine who would get preferences in coming test side and also players need opportunity before next year world cup. Only one batsman miserably failed in last ODI, Umar Akmal, who made 5 runs in 9 balls and also dropped a crucial catch at crucial stage. So to test other batsmen, only one place was available,
Management must be wanting undeserving Amin with big parchi should get chance, and that means no other batsman getting chance. Misbah, who also did not batted that well (had lowest score of the remaining 5 ... made 15 runs in 29 balls with low strike rate too) decided that he should not deprive other batsman a chance and instead of depriving Shoaib, gave Amin a chance by sitting down himself.
So in my opinion he is not playing because he wanted to give players opportunity to play and show themselves, something very few Pakistani captain would do where people think that once on any post, it becomes their birth right until they are kicked out (Nawaz is an example).
