I also would like to add to it that when all the maulvis at that time were sleeping and had nothing to say to defend Islam against christian missionaries accusation, at that time the Imam Mahdi Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (AS) raised His pen and defeated them with their own beliefs of Jesus. That Jesus had nothing to do with Isa (AS) of Quran , the one who was the true apostle of Allah. This is admitted by many of ur scholars that He (AS) defeated the christian missionary incharge. Where were your scholars then ; when they were calling Muhammad PBUH names ? and attacked Islam with all possible ways ?
The only choice left for Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (AS) was to defend Islam,and the only way to do that was to not point finger at Jesus (AS) since Jesus (AS) was an apostle of Allah too.. what choice was left was to show their own beliefs to differentiate our Jesus (AS) with their made-up yusu-Maseeh.
