The only thing there I can remember being worthy of a visit was an ancient Buddhist site, like moenjodaro which was poorly maintained.
Re: Mirpurkhaas
Its not praiseworthy.
Re: Mirpurkhaas
There is a fruit farm there. Its open to public. We went there and liked it.
Hi Mostar95,
thanks a lot for your replies here. Your link is really helpful.
I know it is a very small city so nothing much there.

Hi Eastern,
Thanks very much, buddy. I am sure i will like it too.
as you told already its a small city, so can't expect to find mcdonalds/kfc there. any other restaurants there?
qusum -
Its neat that you are getting all your background work done about MPK. It's not a backward city, but in no way comparable to Karachi. The culture is very different in these two cities because MPK caters to rural interior sindh and a population with a low literacy rate.. It's a city that accomodates and links a lot of neighboring towns, like digri, khipro, mirwah gorchani, etc. and hence that is where people go for hospitals, secondary education, shopping etc. It has a mixed population of sindhis, considerable punjabi community, urdu speaking folks, and considerable hindu community.
There are no fast food chains like McDs or KFC. There are two decent dine-in restaurants. I've been to only one of them and the food was pretty good. I can't remember the names right now, but I'll get them for you. There's a really good mithai and desi fast food place called Shimla. There's Chuttan's Cholay/Channe and Chuttans Kababs that are famous in MPK, and I've to attest that they really are good. He's located right at the entrance of the main bazaar, opposite baldia shopping center.
Shopping - I haven't shopped for party wear in MPK and I do my shopping in Karachi when I'm visiting (i'm from USA). There's only one place and it's Siddique's, it's located in the main bazar in the basement. He sells unstitched chiffon and georgette cloth for party wear, if you ask anybody about him they'll be able to direct you. For lawn and cotton stuff, there's only one shop my family goes to and thats Faisal's Cloth House. I've shopped for lawn there, but they don't carry famous brands like Gul Ahmad or Al Karam mainly because of the prices and their customer range. If you're really concerned about shopping, Hyderabad isn't too far away. It's a 1.5hr drive to Hyd from MPK and you'll be able to get almost everything like it is in Karachi.
Tailors - I've used only one in the last 8 years and I have to say that I've found him to be much much better than tailors in Karachi, so I shop in Karachi but I get my clothes stitched in MPK. If you are anal like I am with lots of detailed instructions on how you want the clothes stitched, he does a really good job. His name is Majeed Tailor and he's located behind Mohammadi masjid. Across from him is Arsh Tailor, which is mainly for embroidery. I was just there and he did a great job on acouple of my outfits. Again be meticulous with the details.
Tourism - not a whole lot to do in MPK. There's Rashidabad which a touristy picnic spot I've heard a lot about from my cousins. It's closer to Hyderabad. There's also Kainjar Jheel, which was popular back in the day, but I heard recently it's very dirty and not worth it.
I think thats about all I can think of right now. By the way, MPK mangoes are the best in all of Pakistan. Totally divine so do enjoy them during the season. Also don't miss out on Thadil, which is an almond based sharbat and I really like it so I thought I'd mention it.
Let me know if you have any other q's.
