Mirpur is in Azad Kashmir..and people from Mirpur have a very distinct way of speaking punjabi...so much so..that in Uk...people refer to them as MPs or Mirpuris...and rip the piss outta them..sad because there are millions of Mirpuris here...
Anyhow..i have lot of mirpuri friends and i can speak their lang..

There is some link between Mirpuris and Jhelum..
See Jhelum is next town down from Kharian which is where i live and Mirpur is i know 57km from Gujrat which is next to Jhelum..
let me map this out..
Kharian (DD)—>Jhelum—>Gujrat—>umm---------------------->Mirpur
So…what i think is we have some migrant mirppuris in Jhelum and because of arranged marriages between the two sides..some Mirpuris have a mum from Jhelum and a dad from Mirpur…
kuriye!! mere liye kuch changa bhi soch liya kar koi chakar wakar nahi hai actually i was talking to this friend from UK..and SHE was just like asaan this and asaan that..and i understood her..and she was surprised that i know..but i thought ppl from jhelum speak liek that..or saraiki or something..so i was just a bit confused

This asan language is a form of punjabi..i guess its prevalent in Mirpur BUT…people from Gujjar Khan and Jhelum also speak it too…
And Gujjar Khan is a few kms from Rawalpindi..
I guess it’s people from Mirpur…who’ve moved..and are now..established in other areas and their language has changed slightly..
