I think Mirpur Khas, Mirpur Mathelo and Mirpur Saakro (situated in Sindh) got their names from the Talpur rulers of Sindh, who carried title Mir. Their base was, however, Khairpur Meerus.

Hmmm. And there are 2 khairpurs too.

But if mirpurs in sindh got their names from talpurs then what about the one in Kashmir?
