Do you believe in miracles in this era? If yes to what extent??
Re: Miracle
salamalykum
until the judgement day we have to believe in miracles, coz all the miracles are done by ALLAH and if we have good iman and we are on the right path( on haq) then for sure allah (swt) can do miracles with us,
actually its our iman on which we can expect a miracle,
if we READ the story of IBRAHIM (AS), we will learn that the fire become cool as per the order of allah On the iman of IBRAHIM (AS) hence this is a miracle,
same waY,
we learn from the story of bibi HAJRA and ISMAIL (AS) ABOUT THE MIRACLE OF ZAM ZAM,
hence,
inshallah if our iman is gud and we are trying to follow sunnah and quran, inshallah we can expect miracles.
Re: Miracle
Yes dear,
Miracles happened in the past and they do happen these days. This thread on this forum is just one example of modern day miracles.

Re: Miracle
Well dear,
Miracle is defined just as:
“An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God.”
Definition from: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=miracle
As a Muslim we believe that all events that take place in this World are just act of Allah. We know reasons for some events and for some events we don’t know reasons.
When some event appear and we don’t have knowledge to reason it, we just call it a miracle. In this sense all Miracles are just tricks as well. If Allah had given all humans the knowledge about every thing, then there was no way miracles could have happened.
Have you read “Shuhab Nama”? In this book writer (who was also the top bureaucrat of his time) writes about Peer Sahib fooling people with ball point and light bulb. (in 1930s, when these things were rare in sub continent)
