Just happened to catch Mira Nair’s 11 minute documentary in the 9/11 set of movies by various producers. The film is a dramatization of the story of Muslim-American, Salman Hamdani. The 11 minutes were pretty powerful - wished it were a lil longer, but I guess the whole purpose of the series was to give all producers a single 11 minute frame to express a variety of opinions.
The movie recounts the true story of Sept. 11 - of the family of Mohammad Salman Hamdani, who wre being harrassed by the FBI suspecting that their missing son Salman was a terrorist. Only months later when his body was discovered among the debris, he was revealed to be a heroic police cadet who had rushed to the scene to help.
