MINT CHUTNEY

Acha suno dosto

I just can’t master the art of making a decent mint chutney. I’m always offered it when I go round to people’s houses but mine just never tastes the same :teary1:

Could anyone help me out please?

Please could you post the exact ingredients that go in and the process of making it…

Thanks!

Re: MINT CHUTNEY

well this is how I make my mint chutney..
a bunch of mint
half a bunch of cilantro
2-4 green chillies (depending on your taste)
a clove of garlic
1 tsp of coconut pdr
1 tsp of peanuts
I blend them all together with as littile water as possible and then I add salt after the chutney is blended well...I find that the chutney tends to be runny if salt is added while blending...when serving, I sprinkle a pinch of sesame seeds just because it looks pretty ...:)
Hope it helps...

Re: MINT CHUTNEY

Thanks for your reply! What's cilantro?

Also do you then mix this mixture with yoghurt?

Re: MINT CHUTNEY

I do the same as Ruby - minus the coconut and nuts and sesame seeds.

Sometimes I add a couple of tomatoes to the whole mixture and then blend it up. This just adds another flavour to the chutney.

You can put it in to yoghurt if you want, or eat it just like that.

Re: MINT CHUTNEY

cilantro is dhaniya ...And like AmorAmor said, with or without yougurt is your choice...
@AmorAmor, I sometimes add tomatoes too :) I like the tomato added one specially with grilled items like chapli and behari...
