Islamically, 3 days and 3 nights are considered the minimum days for the menstrual cycle. And 10 days and 10 nights are considered the maximum amount of days that you cannot pray, fast, read Quran, etc.
If you continue to bleed after that, it is considered sickness and you should continue your religious activities as normal.
sorry to derail the thread but I got an IUD and after that I have had some spotting outside of my period date. I did not pray during the spotting days. Am I supposed to keep on praying considering it is not my regular period days or since the IUD may slightly change the cycle, what I did was right ?
I think after a couple of months, my cycle will settle as in the time it happens because right now my body is probably adjusting to the foreign object.
I thought it was 7 days. If you get ur cycles for more than 7 days you should continue with ur religious activities as the other poster said. I might be wrong and it could be 10 days.
To the OP are you asking about the length of menstrual cycle? If yes, It can be anywhere from 28 days to 45 days. It varies from person to person.
