another great piece by Yasir Pirzada fully exposing the conspiracy mindset engulfing different sectors of our society especially in context of war on terrorism…I know Yasir well. When got selected, he was the youngest ever bureaucrat in Pakistan’s history. A bright guy who has been writing against terrorism with great courage from day 1 and has put his life and career on risk. Bravo Yassir.
Re: Mindset...that needs to be changed
Good article, people are still confused, don't know what would convince them about the problem ailing us.

No idea shah Jee......................
people are now liking Molana fazal's narrative on military courts .............
tell you what, the narrative that our establishment inculcated into ordinary people's mind for over 30 years on the name of "mujahaidin fighting evil forces of india, usa and israel" has taken firm roots in people's minds and it will be very difficult to eradicate it...will take a very long time and needs a multidimensional effort besides military operation..
this political leadership, i doubt, is qualified to do it. No alternative leadership on the scene either at least for now.
Re: Mindset...that needs to be changed
^^ Fazal ur Rehman is simply protecting its own interest, the sooner we realize it the better it is, these kind of politicians should be blacked out by the media.
Can any one tell me this, Suppose we are at war with India, and Indian air-craft are bombing Pakistani land, would anyone be there talking against the govt's move to counter those strikes in anyway... if yes, what would we be calling that person?
same is the case here, TTP is using all its resources against Pakistan, they are killing as many Pakistanies as they can and where ever they can and most of the TTP foot soldiers and commanders are graduates from these Madrassas... so these madrasas should be taken to task... whether we is with us or against us.

Moral: India, Israil, Iran aor USA sirf aor sirf wahid mulkk hain jo Pakistan key salamti aor taraqi chahtay hain.
UAE, KSA, Bahrain aor China Pakistan key tamam tabahi kay zimay dar hain :cobra:

Re: Mindset…that needs to be changed
UAE, KSA , Bahrain and China do not have unconditional love for Pakistan either.
Moral:
Whole world is out to get poor little Pakistan. Pakistan is a Red Riding Hood in this jungle called planet earth. Only Talibaan are that proverbial granny who can save this Red Ridding Hood called Pakistan by establishing their brand of Islam which will have no place for any other flavor of Islam.

Re: Mindset...that needs to be changed
My simple analogy to all conspiracy theorists is.
If A gives funding/resources to B to harm or kill C. Who is more at fault A or B?
I think most sane people would say B because he or she actually carried out the atrocity and did not think about the consequences of their action

Re: Mindset...that needs to be changed
First
Are we a nation
Do we feel same pain for a Baluch , Pakhton or Sindhi which we feel for a man our area , Central Punjab
Yesterday night , there was a deadly accident on super highway
If it was happened some where near Lahore , What could be a reaction here at GS
I am sorry to say but after spending years here at GS , I never saw here a pure Pakistani view

Re: Mindset...that needs to be changed
This mindset really runs deep. On a dinner few years ago, a leading physician of his area told me an "inside" information he received, which was that Pakistani passport of Ajmal Qasab was issued in Pak embassy in US on orders of HUssein Haqqani.
Re: Mindset...that needs to be changed
Very good thread..nice article. Point well-made. I'v been stressing this since forever that Pakistanis must have to come out of conspiracy theories approach. Also I did a lil observation to see who exactly produces more conspiracy theories on any occurance and voila.. Its our religous segment again cuz ofcourse their "Parchoon ki dukan" comes under grievously danger if people start accepting the facts rather than baseless stories.
So the hopeful point is, once we get rid of these religious groups scumbags, we'll be definitely better off. Afterall there is still some light in the end of the tunnel.

Agreed, that is what I say to all those conspiracy theorists, that at the end of the day does not matter who is behind it, rather who is pulling the trigger.

Also, if C doesn't like A, then it is in A's interest to get rid of B ASAP which would hurt BOTH A and B.
