does not have to be only relationships.
it goes beyond into systems and processes of interaction among nations and among groups of people. certainly happens when the mighty takes hold of the weak.
deceit certainly factors in the equation of a mind trap. so do ploys and wickedness.

man that is a seriously pessimesstic world view, i think the term you are reaching for is called mind snares, and just thinking that people are out setting verbal and emotional bear traps is....brrr.....
true it does happen but i think we are all better off not dwelling on it or expecting otherwise we will be out setting counter mind snares just in case there is one lying in wait...
