The best and easiest way to win any fight is by controlling the minds of opponents. This is the most efficient way to win any fight with less struggle. One has to control one mind and than promote that controlled mind to spread the same virus to others until the another mind accept it. Than if there will be differences among them, take the advantages of differences and spread the hatress among each others. Seeing today the Muslim Ummah, which suppose to be united but alas they fell a part from each others and have lots of differences because their mind were controlled in that way they forgotten what was their real purpose.
So why you think the followers of 'One True God “Almighty Allah” have so many differences among each others. Differences in such stage where a Muslim is blood-thristhy of another Muslim. Any particular reason?
I think division is because people have become enslaved by personalities rather than main rules and principles.
It is like some one solves a mathematical problem and people memorise the solution and the person who solved the problem but pay no attention to te formula or the method the person used to do that.
When that happens people have nothing solid to fall back on to see the basis for themselves or to find any way to commonality.
We did the same in case of islam ie quran means this because so and so said it means this and have no proof for it other than the word of a chain reporters. Not only that but what we are told most of the time is actually anti reality so we end up with all sorts of nonsense explanations to try to justify that in the face of reality which we in actual fact cannot so we end up with make beliefs.
That is how we arrive at the notion that whatever we believe is correct but the reality before our very eyes can be wrong. Thus we lose sense of reference altogether and keep on arguing without any end in sight.
The real question therefore is, have we discovered the formula that works so that we could use that as basis to interpret the quran and hadith? Once we think about it and work on it then we will get all things right. Till then people can argue all they like but they will not have any solid foundation to based their ideas upon so they will remain incomplete and unstable in confusion and chaos.
It is the very problem which people do not realise that there is no point in arguing over things if you do not accept proof and proving as basis to start with. If you accept proof and proving then you cannot believe things unless you have some proof for them. So make beliefs and proofs do not go together because one contradicts the other.
So long as our beliefs contradict real world universal laws, we are doomed to self destruction no matter how much we call on help of Allah, divisions will only go when we start educating ourselves and think things through critically and find basis for them that work.
This is why we cannot trust our translations and explanations of the quran or for that matter of the ahadith. Just as formul is foundation for solving math related problems so formulas are absolutely necessary for solving quran and hadith problems for proper understanding of islam.
Our wrong approach to quran and hadith had only given us bad name through out the world if we care to look around.
This ummah has condemned the very people who tried to put it back on track in various ways instead of supporting them and supported those who were actually responsible for this situation in the first place.
Ignorance is not not having the information but not having the information in an organised way that makes sense. Wisdom is all about knowing things methodically and systematically so that they make sense and when put in to place in reality work properly. proof means saboot=completeness=saabat. Nothing is complete unless it works and not just works but fulfils the purpose it is supposed to serve.
The quran and hadith are useless unless e understand them for their purpose and when we realise their purpose or goal and interpret them the way we should then and only then they will serve the purpose and that will prove we have interpreted the scriptures for the purpose they were supposed to serve.
The purpose of the quran is to give us a manifesto and a constitution that when we build our human society upon gives us the humans the peace.
Islam is the set goal for which the quran is revealed and this goal can only be served once we implement it properly and we can never do that unless we first open the quran and understand it for that purpose.
Unfortunately we have given the quran our self made purposes to serve and that is what we use it for eg to get our dead forgiven rather than making this word a secure place for our own good. We forget the living and remember him/her once one is dead. This is nothing less than diverting the quran from its set out purpose.
I agree with you what you wrote above and its true that 'people have become enslaved by personalities' and 'worldly affairs', rather than thinking what is going on with them (muslims). Its like they are still living in fantasy world. There life is like a dream but they think that dream is real and still sleeping. Muslim need to wake up.
