^ the thing is she was NOT like that initially…remember that she was NOT using foul language at all in the beginning…the constant nagging by the MIL and her unending effort to turn her son against the DIL drove her to the point where she lost all the respect for her MIL…

…you have to consider the human psyche…when someone is pinned against the wall, he/she is going to react in an unpredictable manner and that’s exactly the DIL did. no?

no, DIL did raise her chappal but NOT on her MIL but on the neighborhood lady. MIL was talking terrible things about her DIL with this lady whose role was indeed that of a oil sprinkler on the fire. MIL called DIL a barren woman while clearly the husband was responsible for NOT having a baby. she lost her cool and told this lady to get lost.
