While millions of hindus have left the dark and paganism of hinduism to the more enlightened religion of islam and christianity
but i have yet to find 1, just 1 example of a muslim converting to hinduism
and in a democracy like india where there is religious freedom there must be plenty of examples of this happening
can you hindus please tell me of such cases

The opposition Congress party fears the law will target minorities
**The state legislature in the western Indian state of Rajasthan has approved a law aimed at checking religious conversions in the state. ** The law seeks to stop conversions by allurement, greed or pressure.
The opposition Congress party and religious minorities as well as human right groups have opposed the new law.
The law comes at a time when Hindu hardline groups have been accusing a Christian mission in Kota town of carrying out forced conversions. ‘Target minorities’
The law provides for a maximum of five years in prison for those found guilty of carrying out forced conversions.
The Congress party has alleged that the legislation will target religious minorities.
They say the law has been brought about by the state’s Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the behest of the Rashtriya Sawyamsevak Sangh (RSS) - which provides much of the ideological inspiration to the BJP.
Hardline Hindu organisations such as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have welcomed the move.
Rajasthan has 0.11 % Christians, while Hindus are a majority forming 89% of the state’s population.

i am sure if u look harder u'd find many ppl who did convert to hinduism....
from Islam or other religions....
i dont think it wud be impossible to find examples....
if nothing else, atleast for marrying a hindu boy/girl some muslim in india must have done this....

There is one incidence here is states, where I know one Muslims girl married a Hindu boy because she "loved" him.
But even then, I'd say, the number of people converting into Islam is way higher while the people converting into Hinduism from Islam is though happens but you have to look hard to find such happenings. The ration is very low.

You are asking hindus.....okay. let me answer. I dont get any name of a muslim converting to hinduism. Even if find any case it will be very few. You can draw any conclusions you want. If you want more details go to "followers of hindu philosophy" thread. there is a huge discussion that went on this.

islam’s sucess is due to india’s caste system in homogenous countries like china
europe and japan it wont find followers .also in us prsions people
convert because they need some focus on life that does not mean people
outside the prisons are bad.

Thats only because the Hindus dont go around aggresively converting people..
Plus, some Hindus beliefs dont seem to relate aswell to the modern world as opposed to other religions. Just seems to India-centric to me.
Although, on a deeper level, some of Hindu Philospshy is fascinating.

Pak Patriot... I will like to keep one word from your post... "At a deeper level"...
THat's a very relevant point........... Since Hinduism doesn't get set in strict definition of religion with other religion i.e one book, one GOD theory... as well being oldest .. its complex to understand ...
Hence in case of Hinduism its more about people understanding and start following the deeper philosphy... that is based on..
Coming to conversion, the conversion or acceptance to Hinduism happens over generations, it doesn't happen in one shot over gun point, or over brainwashing..... :-)

At least I got one example of a Muslim girl who tried to convert to Hinduism, but a fanatic told her not to. I dont know whether she eventually converted to Hinduism or not:

Dont know about Hindooism but I know from Dadajaan’s stories of partition a close to 100 thousand Muslim punjabi women were forced to marry sikhs and accept Sikhism in E. Punjab.

Personally, I can’t help but judge a little bit those who prefered life as a kaffir to death as a Muslim. It’s one thing for the kids who were separated from ther families and adopted by Sikhs, but for adult Muslim women it’s a different matter altogether…

I find a lot of Hindus, atleast those that I know, are only Hindu in name and dont seem to understand the religion at that deeper level…
For a lot of them, its more about praying to a set of gods and performing some rituals then understanding what all this means.
But from what I have read of Hindu philosophy, and its not much, its pretty interesting, and pretty deep.
Much of it has been in relation to Buddhism which is really just Hindu Philosophy minus the many rituals and gods…

Pak bhai, yeah I find it amusing too.. good that Pakistan is 100% Islam- its our backbone, the sole reason behind our success and existence. Its sad though that the current PM and president arent doing enuf to uplift the religion. They should allocate max. resources towards Islamic study, open govt, funded madarssas, shun western schools and implement sharia.

Funds for Islamic study for true Islam to come to fore is a great idea. Though somehow I don't feel the you understand religion,,,,, before you talk about Islam......
