Re: Million dollar question :The Plural in Urdu
Amazing, we are having a 8 page discussion to find plural of Mard
Mard is singular and plural both.
E.g.
“Tum eik Mard ho” (singular)
“Tamam mard kharay ho ja ain” (plural)
Now about your list
-
Amraad. Mard is a persian word. Your pick (amraad) is an Arabic technique of making plural of a word. E.g. Shajar (tree) and Ashjaar (Trees)
-
Mardood. I am sure that its a joke
-
MardoN. This is spoken urdu. As I said that Mard is a farsi word. To find real plural of a word, we have to go back to originating language. We say “Nabion” as plural of “Nabi”. Although being an arabic word, real plural is “Anbiya”
*]Mardaan. Another joke, for sure
