Re: millie beauty parlour?
The only stuff that isn't drugstore stuff is her Clinique line. i asked to see all the foundations, and it's all stuff you can find at a drug store. I was really disappointed but that explains why some of the brides look like they have atta on their face. They don't know any better cause they think she's good ... she's one of the best ... maybe I was just expecting better. I packed my MAC eyeshadows and my foundation so I will ask her to use that.
L'Oreal and Maybelline, these lines are OK for everyday wear, but yaar, not on your shadi. Instead, they just cake it on thicker which is why it looks like atta.
I am really biased and picky when it comes to make up. I looked at all her make up and this is stuff you find at any shop for five bucks. In fact, half of her L'Oreal eyeshadows, I already had and threw out cause I didn't like them, basically cause they don't show up on my skin ... the pigment is too light.
Oh well. I have my own stuff. She will use it if I ask her.
if brides look like they have atta on their face, i think its mainly because the makeup artist doesn't know what she's doing, and less so because the products are cheap.
and remember too, people have different tastes in wedding makeup- i know a makeup artist and she told me people used to come to her with pictures of really fair indian actresses and request makeup like theirs, when they've got serious tans and bad skin and all sorts of other issues. to me, thats really weird; to them, it was their dream makeup. as harsh as it sounds, to an extent, a makeup artist is also only as good as the canvas she's working with. now why she'd choose those pics for her portfolio, thats the real question.
