Re: Military should intervene to end unrest in Karachi: MQM
The problem is, even if army cleans the city, the same thing will return, the reason is political parties supports crimes and criminals, the Police is there to protect criminals only... just have right kind of police officers in the city, let them eliminate the criminal elements, the peace will get back to city, otherwise, we have have 100 military operations and this blood-shed would return
That's right. I guess a supra-political solution should be put in place in Karach for durable peace as political parties and the Sindh administration aren't capable of handling the city.

MQM asking for Army to intervene
-- Only because they now (after fighting their fight for (what they consider) their territory for months and killing innocent people in process) seem to think that they are losing that fight and in process losing their control/hold over some parts of the city to their opponents (ANP/Other MQM/PPP), so they are not calling army in because they want to keep Karachi peaceful, but now they want army’s guns fight their battle for them and help them regain the control. I think army is too smart to fall for this at this point.
-- Also, Army has to remember that if they go into Karachi on MQM’s plead, and help bring peace back to city via an operation, how can they trust MQM to NOT TO portray army (10 years from now)as someone who did bloodshed in Karachi and not someone who killed the goons. Army was asked to come and do an operation in 90’s and since that day, MQM portrays army as the brutal killing force that did nothing other than bloodshed in Karachi?
-- MQM recently used the example of 90’s operation to “request” indian government to give asylum to mazlooum karachiates after they suffered from the horrible hands of Pak army. So on one hand they ask for Indian Govt for Assylum and same week they ask for Pak Army to help them in Karachi?
Above makes me wonder if they mean Indian Army to come and do an operation in Karachi and not Pakistani army?
Re: Military should intervene to end unrest in Karachi: MQM
ohhh plzz .. stop staunchly defending a criminal here!!
open your eyes and see the facts ... before just blindly supporting his each and every word!
and him calling himself a sindhi does not make him one .. esp whn his intentions and actions say something else....
and btw ...whtever he said abt sindhis ... it was certainly an insult ... and tht was on purpose .. not a slip of a tongue or something ... he just wanted to settle the score after zulfiqar's statement!! and obviously more fasaad!
if u think he wants the best for Karachiites and is trying to resolve issues .. then you are totally hopeless 1947!
Re: Military should intervene to end unrest in Karachi: MQM
**ISLAMABAD: As lawmakers blew hot and cold in the National Assembly on Thursday over Karachi violence, there was little fancy for MQM leader Altaf Hussain’s demand to call out army to restore peace in Pakistan’s commercial hub.
Re: Military should intervene to end unrest in Karachi: MQM
Army operations will not resolve anything. Security forces need to do some major de weaponisation of the city and find the target killing scums in thier huts,

This bitter truth applies to all Muslims who migrated and who opted for living in India. All of them were exploited by Hindu Baniya and that was also the main cause for demanding a separate state of Muslims.

Agree 100%. In a single speech, he called himself Sindhi and announced social boycott for Muhajirs, who don't consider them as Sindhis and in the same speech he came up with negative remarks regarding 'Ghulami of Hindu Banya', which is a controversial matter considering the current tense situation.
He also repeated his mistake by referring to Indian Refuge for 5 crore Pakistanis. God forbid! Why should they go to india for refuge. This is their country and they are living happily with other communities. There are intermarriages between Sindhi - Muhajir and other communities. Two of my uncles got married in Urdu speaking families as early as in 1960's. There is perfect harmony at general public level.
These political leaders are the real culprits who create hatred by stupid statements for sake of their own interests, bcoz in case of any worst situation, they don't have to lose anything due to dual nationalities, assets in other countries and their children living outside Pakistan.
Are you regretting it?
If not then why you said 'bitter truth'?
See the context for my using word bitter and subsequent replies. BTW regret for what?
I'm not likes of AH who shows their regret by calling Indo-Pak partition the biggest blunder of history and appealing India for refuge. I was just pointing that almost all the Muslims (on both sides of the border) were under exploitation of Hindus and thats why demand of separate country made. 'Bitter truth' was originally used by 1947 (in post no.4) to support AH's stupid remarks to equal the score with Mirza's statement.

OK. But you did not have to copy that by adding 'bitter' to something that is a simple truth. That's all I pointed out. No biggie.

Altaf's speech can be compared to Dr.Mirza's speech.
Yet, Sindhis didn't go massacre 100 innocent people!!!
This is the difference between the MQM terrorists and all other parties!

Re: Military should intervene to end unrest in Karachi: MQM
Somehow after AH's desire for intervening by rangers and army, the target killings have suddenly stopped. This proves that AH very much controls the target killings in Karachi. In another thread I have already pointed out that when he turns on killing button, the killings start immediately. After killing at least 100 innocnet people he tuns off the button and killings stop immediately, like turning on and turning off light bulb.

ISLAMABAD: The Government decided on Saturday to restore local government system in Sindh and make Nawabshah part of Hyderabad district, DawnNews reported.
The decision came after a meeting between Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad and PPP leader Dr Babar Awan.
The proposal to change the local government system in Sindh was believed to be one of the main differences between the PPP and MQM](http://www.dawn.com/2011/05/09/ppp-mqm-agree-to-keep-lg-system-in-sindh.html).
