KHAR: A female teacher was killed and two of her colleagues wounded when masked militants shot them in an ambush in Pakistan’s northwest tribal belt on Thursday, officials said.
The victims — all women — were targeted as they returned home on foot from their school in Khar, the main town of Bajaur tribal district, officials said.
“Five to six militants who were hiding their faces ambushed them. One female teacher died on the spot,” Adalat Khan, an administrative official told AFP, adding that her two wounded colleagues had been taken to hospital.
Two intelligence officials also confirmed the incident.
Bajaur was once a stronghold of Taliban militants who are opposed to the education of girls and have destroyed hundreds of schools in northwest Pakistan in recent years.
Pakistan’s military first launched operations in Bajaur in August 2008 and have repeatedly claimed to have eliminated the militant threat.
The country’s northwest tribal belt is a stronghold of militant groups and extremists who fled Afghanistan after the US-led invasion toppled the Taliban regime in late 2001.
It's obviously not a justification but I don't see why one group is labeled as terrorist and other is not? US drones killed 700 civillians and only 5 terrorists in 2009, how is this any better?

It isn't. You just don't criticize someone who feeds you. Without the US, Pakistan's economy will collapse in a matter of weeks.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure more than 5 terrorists were killed. Also, among them was Baitullah Masood. His death alone justifies the drone attacks.

I don't even have problem with MQM, I'm sure they have some good points and some good hardworking people. I don't know who is ANP or Punjabi Pakhtoon etehad and how many people they have bombed?

As far as topic goes, both type of killings should be condemned. Innocents are killed in both types of killings. I see this worst than drone because this is all done on the name of Islam.

Well, though they use religion but those tribal people are not modern and educated people. I don't like it when people can't see the gray areas.

I'm talking about the Pakistani Awam. The elite will leave if things get too difficult. Pakistan isn't self sufficient. It completely dependent on the US, without whom it's economy will collapse. Of course it's unfortunate, but It's the truth. Unless we improve our economy, Pakistan will remain an American slave.

America can't take care of itself, how is it going to take care of Pakistan? Just look at all the debts that US needs to pay back. We need to improve our economy, yes we all know that but it's not possible with the ongoing war in Northwest since 2004.
