AFGHANISTAN: Six school children killed in a rocket attack in the east
KABUL, 11 April (IRIN) - At least six children were killed and another 14 injured after a rocket hit their school in eastern Kunar province, officials said on Tuesday.

"Children have a fundamental human right to education and there can be no justification for such a heinous attack. I want to reiterate my clear message that the children of Afghanistan should not be targeted by such violence and must be left alone in peace," Koenigs said in a statement released on Tuesday.
"In all cultures and traditions it is universally accepted that women and children should be outside the arena of conflict and it is most upsetting that this principle is not being respected in Afghanistan," the senior UN official maintained.
But militants, battling US and government forces, have recently launched numerous attacks on schools and teachers in various parts of the Central Asian state. Around 20 schools have been set ablaze in southern Helmand since last year, and, according to officials, around 200 other schools have been closed in the southern provinces of Zabul, Kandahar, Helmand, and Urozgan due to insecurity.
In December, a suspected Taliban gunman dragged a teacher from his classroom and shot him dead at the gates of his school after he ignored warnings to stop teaching boys and girls in a mixed class in Helmand province.
In a separate attack, also in December, gunmen shot and killed an 18-year-old male student and a guard at another school in Helmand. While in Zabul province, also in the south, a teacher was dragged from his home and beheaded in February.

This is wrong, Afghans have to take advantage. I sick and tired of these jihadis using Afghanistan. For once I would like to see prosperity there, and hapiness.

It’s strange that these 6 would make UTD exclaim ‘just sick’ while the thousands of innocents killed in aerial bombings, mines, bunker busters and daisy cutters by the brutal US forces are hailed as ‘liberated’ and claimed as a victory for the US…

You can't compare bunch of criminals with uniformed soldiers.
Thieves kill and on the other hand police officers kill too. Civilized people can differentiate between the two types of killing. But the uncivilized tribal jihadis won't be able to see the difference.

Now, there is a big difference between bombing know terroris hide outs and civilians dieing and targetting school kids. It's funny that on the day 50 or so people get killed in Pakistan, you chose to blame Americans for terrorism.

Besides, did you forget the bombing of the wedding procession by US forces? How in the world do you know that everyone killed in those bombings was indeed a terrorist? Before you open your diharrea infested mouth go tak a look at how many supposed Jihadis have been released form Gitmo withouth charges. Next time do your homework before opening your shiv linga mouth.
UTD, lets not act holier than thou. You know that our soldiers have blood on their hand. They have indeed killed innocent, you can dress it any way you want, but civilians have been killed and continue to be killed in so called precise bombings. Having said all that, it is indeed tragic that these backward people will block the only way (eductaion) to get out of this mess.

When uniformed soldiers act like criminals than they are no better. You still have failed to answer my question, do you condemn their brutal bombings of innocent people attending a wedding? Do you? Answer with a straight yes or no.

They say when a person is sexually assaulted to his limit, he starts loving the assaulter…The mind subliminally starts accepting the assaulter as a formal, sexual partner and a mental bond is formed, usually from the victim’s side and placing the assaulter in a position of a protector or a father figure…
