**A suspected militant has been killed in a gun battle with Indian troops in the Rajouri district of Indian-administered Kashmir, army officials say.**The clash took place in a forest near Triath village, about 120km (74 miles) north-west of Jammu city.
An army official said the dead militant was a member of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba group, which India blames for the deadly Mumbai attacks.
Troops are searching for two other militants hiding in the area, he said.
Army soldiers and police were sent to the area after receiving information that militants were hiding in the forest, officials said.
The clash started on Sunday night and went on for several hours, they said.
Hundreds of thousands of troops are based in Kashmir to fight a two decade-old insurgency.
