I am from Peshawar and while i am glad we democracy now, I am worried about the situation in my province. I am afraid whats going on in NWFP is not going to end anytime soon because no political party has any well thought out plan for ending it. I know they all say that they’l hold TALKS. But TALKS were held before too. What will make their TALKS different? FIGHTING is not an option either.
What I understand is that the foreign forces are in Afghanistan to solve their problems but they have become a problem themselves now. And situation in NWFP and the tribal belt will only change when the foreign forces leave afghanistan. Is any political party/coalition capable of standing to the US? Can they say NO to the US? Can they ask them to leave?
What do you think will be their strategy? What is going to work?
