Not sure if this question has been asked before, but in your opinion what would look nice for a MIL or brides mother to wear on their childrens wedding?
I know the old way of thinking is - your now a saas therefore wear subtle colours with limited kaam coz your old now.. But let’s face it in this day and age, kids are getting married earlier because their getting settled earlier and our parents are still quite young !
So any ideas including type of outfit, colour combinations or even pictures that you have seen you would know would look perfect on your mother or MIL?
I know my poor MIL is stuck! would love to help our out :)!

Most women already have preferences for the way they dress and what makes them feel comfortable and happy.
My MIL wore fancy shalwar kameez/saree on our wedding and my mom wore simple kapray and makeup but really blinged out on the zevar.

Yeah I agree - they do have their own preferences and know what looks good on them - but I think it's important to give good thought into it.. Only because everything is so much focused on the bride bride bride that the poor mothers in the end run out of time and end up choosing close the wedding what theylle wear.. so I am defintely making my mom choose it all in advance and get it made when my clothes get made.. same goes for my MIL :)

Go for colors such as ivory and beige and have heavy french knotted and bullion stitched embelishments (true umar sayeed style) all over the dress

I think pastel shades, such as tea pink, pistachio green, mauve, etc.. with delicate kaam on it would suit mothers of the bride/groom best! Anyways, they most probably have their own favourite colour, cut, style and kaam, so they should just stick to that! I doubt many women having their childrens wedding would like to wear over the top colours such as bright orange or hot pink or something like that! :)
