i dont know much abt moutains..
but i guess we do have some lakes..i have been to conroe(SP?) lake..and it was fun..but we went there to kinda chill and bbq..so it was fun..but the lake wasnt all tht..
if ur looking for water..then galveston is pretty much the only choice..its not all tht..but still its worth a visit..

Congrats…Welcome to Texas…:D..So you finally decided to come to the Goodlife:cb:…but as far as the nature stuff go …as people already suggested Austin would be a good bet. Lake Conroe…good place for jet skiing and other water sports..Galveston…crystal island…Kemah,
