I have had a “headache” for 5 days now. It gets better and worse and better. It is mostly tolerable - however its annoying. Just now I have developed pain in all my bones as well. My back and even in my fingers. I have a docs appointment for tuesday - they didnt have one sooner - but what can I do? I am in pain. Ive tried asprin etc.
Re: migranes
Does black-out help? Migraine is a terrible pain, its not tolerable. Get it diagnosed. I think its not migraine. (Spell?)
Re: migranes
Are u sure its not just a headache, and its vakai a migraine?
Not sure what to make of the symptoms - I’m no doctor - but if I were you, between now and Tuesday, just rest. Get off the computer (bad for posture and the eyes - may be the source of headaches
) and don’t watch TV either. Just take naps during the day and make sure you’re getting full sleep.
Don’t overeat, and don’t undereat. Fruits and veggies. Get off of sugary stuff. Keep breads and rice to a minimum (I found that too much sugar will give me joint pain).
And also take vitamins. Like all of them. Especially some calcium and vitamin C.
Re: migranes
Ok by tolerable I lied. I can live with it but it hurts. It could justbe a headache, but ivehad it for 4 days now.
Thankyou PCG, am just oging to go now and take ur advice. See if it helps :)
Re: migranes
There are several types of head aches.....and several things can cause head aches. Migraines are one type of head ache and there are different kinds of migraine. The most common are classic migraine and common migraine. I can go into further details but since you are visiting your doc, he/she will do the needful. May be you dont have a migraine, may be it's a headache due to your eye sight or may be due to the level of your serotonin. Serotonin plays many roles in the body, and it can have an effect on the blood vessels. When serotonin levels are high, blood vessels constrict (shrink). When serotonin levels fall, the blood vessels dilate (swell). This swelling can cause pain or other problems.
Usually asprin is not taken during head aches, it helps but to a certain level. In your case it did not. Therefore try acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (motrin) or Naproxen (Aleeve) or Ketoprofen (Orudis KT).
Good Luck
Re: migranes
:( I went through that a few months ago, had a headache for about two weeks ... turned out to be clusters of migraines popping up again and again. I had to get prescription pills to get rid of them cause no amount of advil, tylenol was helping. Try lying down, staying in the dark, not moving too much, put a cold wet towel over your eyes/forehead and drink lots of water. Make sure to eat something too, if you can stomach it.
Re: migranes
try to sleep in dark room ..
Re: migranes
doesnt sound like a migraine to me hiccup.
why are you having it in your bones. Last week a work colleague suffered from similar symptoms, turned out uric acid, but he was over 50.
Re: migranes
This is such a quick review! I remember dwelling over the shaitan ki aant long chapter on migraine. Thanks.
Re: migranes
if u r into desi nuskhay, 2 advils plus head massage with oil. then put tiger balm on ur forehead and just lie down for 4 hours or so. that shud work.
Re: migranes
i definitely have an attack now. i just found 30 mins ago that i lost my brand new sonyericsson 700i along with a brand new sim card i had purchaed 3 months ago (to change my number). somebody from work very conveniently took it out of my bag from the washroom. all my contacts which were saved only on the sim card, all the pictures which i was thinking of uploading here, all the sweet SMS
