^erm, not really. We have plenty of practices here with all-female doctors, who specialize in obgyn. So, whether your doctor is available or not, it’s guaranteed that your baby will be delivered by a female doctor from the practice. At least that’s what my experience was.

i know you can go to a practice where there are all-female doctors but they might not actually be present at time of delivery in the hospital or you didn’t deliver at a hospital or do you mean the hospital’s ob team was all female? i don’t think any of the hospitals here have only female ob’s on their team.
