However you part your hair, I think they key is to have some texture and volume. What dates a style is when it’s flat against your head. And I agree with ehl- do a trial even if it’s just at home, although you should definitely do one with your MUA too if she’ll be doing your hair that day, but at least play around at home to see if you even like the look on you vs. just thinking you’ll like it.

the middle parts of the girls around here are all completely flat and you’re right–definitely looks dated. I dont’ know if its just those girls preference or the MUA’s skill level but I’ve seen the look you’re talking about. I have a bigger/rounder face than most (and worse now since I’ve put on 20 lbs) so I think I should wait till I lose the weight (in the process now) and see where I stand closer to the wedding with my hair style and face shape. She did the middle part on me at the trial and I looked like a clown but that may have been because my face is SO big right now that it makes it look wider vs narrower.
