I think I’ve come to terms with the fact that it’s going to be a little hard to get in with a Big 4 come this recruiting season in September with my grades. Just way too competitive.
And since I really want a full-time job to start my CA training by the time I graduate in September 2007, I’m looking at the mid-sized firms.
From what I’ve heard, the compensation is not significantly different and the training offered is more or less the same. I guess it’s just a prestige thing working for a Big 4.But it doesn’t matter in the end once you have your professional designation.
So I was wondering if somebody could help out with names of some good mid-sized firms in the GTA.The only ones that come to mind are Grant Thornton,Soberman and Fuller-Landau.
And perhaps if anybody knows anyone at a mid-sized firm and could provide their contact info; would just like to get some more info regarding their recruitment process, what they are looking for e.t.c.
