mid read

people forget other truths. or cannot handle other truths their own.
they cannot handle truth in the face of lies more frequently than is the other way around.
books are sometimes very subjective.
sometimes, the writes are speaking to us, through their writings.

when a book gets mis read, do you argue with the book or understand it better on your own, by re reading it.

or is it the philosophical nature of having mis - read that the author will become the target of this blame that s/he wrote the book wrong altogether?

thoughts?

books :yummy:

i think the word you’re looking for is ‘misinterpretation’ of a book.

when an author writes, they are of course speaking to us by written words and they could be implying many different things, and each unique reader interprets the work in a different way. book clubs/discussions/socratic seminars are a great way for ppl to engage in a dialogue about what they’ve read and understood of a book.

 it is amazing how many different perspectives one book can have if more than 1 person were to look at it and then talk about it.
