Mid length or long hAir

My chachi told me that if you have mid length to long hair you should tie it up when sleeping as your hair could be more prone to breakage, is it true?

Is it better to sleep with hair tied up or hair left open?

Re: Mid length or long hAir

^That's what I've heard and it makes sense to me. As you toss and turn in your sleep...you can end up breaking your hair....or it may be more tangled in the morning, so that brushing through the tangles can result can breakage. My mom was telling me to tie my hair at night before going to bed a couple of days ago.

Re: Mid length or long hAir

I dunno but i do sleep on a silk pillow and I heard silk pillows and sheets help with breakage ...who would've thought?

Re: Mid length or long hAir

Satin pillows are also said to prevent wrinkles on the face.

Re: Mid length or long hAir

You should braid your hair at night, that way it stops breakage.....well thats what i have heard

Re: Mid length or long hAir

I can’t sleep if my hair’s tied or rolled up into a bun…I just throw them behind my head on the pillow and sleep :roman:

Re: Mid length or long hAir

You know what my stylist told me? Don't tie your hair too much as there is a lot of pulling at the roots which causes the hair to break. Don't know if there is any truth in that though. That said, my hair is naturally curly, it practically looks permed and it's at my shoulders. I never tie it up at night when I'm sleeping. Just feels so uncomfortable x

Re: Mid length or long hAir

Braiding your hair loosely is.the best option...doesnt cause breakage to.the hair at all. I used
To put my hair in a high bun but then I realized this is worst way because not only does your hair get tangled in the morning but when you sleep on your back the bun gets pushed up causing more pressure on your roots.

Re: Mid length or long hAir

I braid my hair cause i love the way it makes my hair wavy next morning :)

Re: Mid length or long hAir

Shave your head and wear a wig to fool guys.

Case solved.
