Yall know where i can download free microsoft word? right now i only have word pad, i need Word for assignments and stuff. hate working in labs

MS Word cant be down loaded, i think, u would have to reinstall the program on ur machine.
try microsoft.com --> down loads
or cnet.com for down load of another word like program
best is ms word, though.

Ok to clarify, i DO have MS word on here, but it won’t open. I inherited this computer and my brother doesnt have the CD for it. so not sure what to do. Everytime i open it, i get this:

u need to habve a new normal fle for it in your registry.
it happened to me before. some technical stuff to learn and is fun. :>
this what you do.
Double click on My Computer.
Click on the Tools menu in the top menu bar.
Click on Folder Options...
Click on the View Tab
Click on the little button next to "Show hidden files and folders" (in the Advanced Settings box)
Click OK.
Double click on Local Disk
Double click on the Documents and Settings folder
Double click on the folder with your user name
Double click on Application Data.
Double click on the Microsoft folder.
Double click on the Templates folder.
Right click on the Normal.dot file and delete it
Now you need to hide your hidden folders again
Click on the Tools menu in the top menu bar.
Click on Folder Options...
Click on the View tab.
Click on the little button next to "Do not show hidden files and folders" (in the Advanced Settings box)
Click on OK.
Close all the open windows and you are done!

Download open office from www.open****office.org.
its a free office suite. Its word processor can read Word docs and can write them out so you can send a word file to others.
And its quite powerful, not lame like wordpad.

yeah wordpad is lame, no double space, spell check NOTHING..very very basic, its only useful for rough drafts. i'll try that download

Microsoft Word is a licensed software and is not available for free online. The options u can try are
- Buy Microsoft Office CD
- Download through torrents (Not legal)
- Ask some one to buy a Microsoft office CD for u from Pakistan :)
- Get it from university, as its free for students (Recommended)
