Re: Microsoft Has Atlast Included Pashto in Windows

Thats very good! Pashtuns are a comparatively a small community but with a big clout.

Re: Microsoft Has Atlast Included Pashto in Windows

GS, today I got a Pashto magazine that gives the following information.

They have started a USAID and Microsoft funded localization project in Kabul that will create a Pashto inteface for MS-Windows. Linguists have already developed Pashto vocabulary for computer terms e.g. "email" is called "breshnalik", "save" "tsabatkawan", etc.

This will give a huge boost to computer literacy and sense of technology in the masses that don't understand English...

Re: Microsoft Has Atlast Included Pashto in Windows

Thanks for Lots of Links

And as per the info From USAID and MS… I know it… I know the ppl who are working on that…

Wat I mentioned is… the BUILITIN SUPPORT for Pashto in Windows… Earlier We used to Install other third Party Keybords and Fonts to work With Pashto… NOW… After this Patch… We wont have to…

We can Just add it as other Language and Can work in it…

It was a HUGE problem for the ppl who were in Publicatoins and related Fields…

Coz.. they used to work on one Set of Fonts… and.. When it was out to Anothter computer that had diff set … Some of the Words Would be scrambled…

This was a big big big prob…

Now… When its Built in … All will use the Windows Pashto Support … so wont Face the Probs
