Re: Microsoft Certifications - Which is best, if any?
You will have to learn everything from start. You will have to learn everything you want to know from scratch, forget the small black text book with pictures of old mainframes.
If u opt MCSE - You are going to learn new acronyms DNS, WINS, RAS, VPN, IP, lmhosts...etc You are going to learn new terminologies like addresses, servers, nodes, topologies, network bandwidth, maintenance, installation, optimization
If u opt CCNA - You are going to learn a new dos like operating system with terms like poisoning & reverse poisoning. You will learn new about new hardware like routers, bridges, crossover cables, firewalls etc. You will be managing your companies backbone through a complex yet interesting operating system, that is nothing like windows, although if ur company can afford the GUI software, then u have no problems.
A+ - Although I havent touched it yet, but its basically hardware related.
Oracle - Everything & anything to do with Oracle products like SQL+, Discoverer, Analyzer, Applications etc.
Now if I was u, assuming ur in the 20-25 year age slot, continue your degree, take evening classes 2hours a day, take your sweet time, & you will be comfortable with MCSE in approximately 6 months, this also includes the time it takes to finish each module, prepare & complete its Xam
