Re: Microsoft Access Database Helpppppppp…

ok guys i am youtubing…

its getting there but not so close :bummer:

  1. I created a form based on query.

  2. Made macros and created a command button to search by “permit number”. I searched it display the information but there are different types of “Work group” but same “permit number” s

See For Example:

Work group Permit Number

AP 12
IW5 15
IW6 12
APCF 16
GDO 12

how do I do that you see common number “12” permit number.

Re: Microsoft Access Database Helpppppppp.....

Merge the Work group and Permit Number so you have a unique key, identifier?

Re: Microsoft Access Database Helpppppppp…

btw, this is the macros I used.

Re: Microsoft Access Database Helpppppppp.....

Man! I really wish we could have a lync, webex or gotomeeting type of meeting to resolve this issue once and for all.

Re: Microsoft Access Database Helpppppppp.....

HI S08, I am not familiar with Access. This is the solution I saw online.

Create the combination with the expression builder in a query using the "&" to join the fields.

Re: Microsoft Access Database Helpppppppp.....

I cant troubleshoot until I have the actual database. I am not very good with remote assistance. I need to be able to change things and see what happens.
