Microbead/Caviar Manicure

How many of you ladies would get it done? I am really into pastels this summer, in just about everything so why not nail colour either? I have been drolling over these caviar nails, but have been also hesitant since I have little kids around and wouldn’t want to spread around ‘the beads’ in their food/toys

Has anyone tried it? I hear the beads come off rather quickly and can get messy? so I am better off just dreaming

BTW these aren’t my hands!

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

ohhhh that is gorgeous. but so wildly impractical! I have a hard enough time with plain ol nail polish or acrylic nails...but I love nail colors! :(

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

Oh I could never do acrylic again ever since HS days  the smell of chemically beautified nails just puts me off
I do like gel or even shellac…but this is so different and trendy. Oh well…on to something next :hehe:

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

This thing is so overpriced, I bet I can achieve the same look with sprinkles!

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

Really how much is it? Are you talking about the Ciate? I have see it Sephora but never bothered to check

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

Gawd I hate these…lol. No offense to anyone but I think this looks so ghetto. Of course, as Sara already stated…very impractical for grown women who have jobs or do any type of housework.

The ONLY way I can even begin to think that this looks ok is when it’s done as an accent nail…with the same color. But seeing this on all the nails or with “creative” color mixes makes me cringe.

On a side note: if anyone wants a cheaper DIY version of this…start looking at various nail blogs. Plenty of bloggers have tutorials on this where you don’t have to spend $$$.

Plenty of bloggers do this with crystals too. Again, I think having it on all nails is…not good. But as an accent nail of the same color…for special occassions…well, that at least won’t make me cringe.

Microbead/Caviar Manicure

Definite an accent nail kinda thing!

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

It's not on Sephora's website anymore so I can't check the exact price. I think it was around $20, not 100% sure. I just checked eBay and it's selling for $40. Is that insane or what!

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

looks pretty on pics, but wouldnt go for it personally. And yup there are loaads of cheaper way to do it, its all over youtube!

For anyone who’s interested, I found the link on Sephora

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

maybe for an accent nail......or tip of an accent nail.....but definitely not on all nails.
only for a special event or occasion like a wedding maybe....
not at all practical for everyday.....

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

^ I agree. Impractical for everyday and if I'm honest it looks like some sort of fungal growth on the nail.

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

very trendy. not for me but looks fun for teeny boopers. I also saw the velvet finish at sephora. That looked interesting too.

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

Not for me. I don't like the feeling of rough bumpy nail.

Re: Microbead/Caviar Manicure

I quite like the white with just an accent nail..
