I really do feel for you. I have been there only once and had a Jeep ride and remember sand going in to my mouth when tried to talk or shout woo hooo! from being on the Jeep.
I did not know one can walk and did not see anyone walking. The sand is so hot and soft.
Did you not pay the full price for Jeep ride and they made you walk??

Hey I am from michigan..I don't have time for a big reply so i will come back later, just wanted to let you know i am really close to dearborn and will def help you find stuff. And don't forget to bring a BIG appeitite when you visit dearborn, so many places to eat!
I can also get you free museum passes and stuff around that area. Michigans not all that in the winter but its okay in the summers. We have a lot of lakes and western and northern michigan is def a lot more beautiful.
