and the other closer to all the sight seeing places…which would beeee? where? :hmmm:

i need to plan out an itinerary.

im excited :hula:

Re: Michigan

Just go with Ritz, Hyatt ... they are very safe and very close to the airport ... you can plan your trip out of there ..

yes sir....will do. You just simplified things for me lol

Re: Michigan

M I C H I G A N - sorry that’s the song that they thought us in school!

yes it does look pretty - unfortunately it’s NOT that nice. Only if you go in the summer time and up north is very pretty.

But if you are Detroit - it’s pretty drab! You need a car to get around. It will be pretty COLD still in mid april.

Where to stay:
I would NOT stay neat the aiport or downtown. The best places to stay are suburbs. Novi, northville, troy - pretty safe and only 20-30 minutes to everything like dearborn. downtown etc

What to do there:
Shop - somerset mall is nice, novi mall is nice
Walk around in Ann Arbor - University town (45 minutes from Detroit)
Douglas J Spa: Aveda has 4 training institutes in Michigan. They provide all Aveda services for a fraction of the cost.

Douglas J: Aveda Institutes - they offer full spa services including full body treatments.

Detroit Downtown - worth a driveby

Greek down - you can walk there in the day time. Do try Pizza Poppoulous - half a slice will fill you up!

What to eat at Dearborn:
Best Resturant: Al-Ajmi - best food nice ambiance
Shatila - best pastries / sweets coffee - you my want to try their french pastries. It’s worth going inside because it’s the nicest bakery that I have seen in U.S so far

Don’t go to Cedarland! (resturant)

How long are you there for AE?

Other fun things to do in april - it will be a bit COLD.

Re: Michigan

^ oh wow thanks.

so how cold is cold? :hmmm:

i will only be there for 2-3 days.

aveda institute here i come!!

Re: Michigan

njgal, did you even go outside of Detroit :bailan

Re: Michigan

^^ Ritz and Hyatt are more in Dearborn Heights area, they are very safe, very clean .. They are right across Ford Motor Company world headquarter in the Fairlane area.

Re: Michigan

Spock - you name it and I have been there.

Re: Michigan

spock wants me to stay in detroit :crying:

TLK i will take ur word for it…I know for a fact you wouldnt wanna put me in a bad area …or would u? :hmmm:

You won’t regret it!! Make sure to call for appointment - they fill up very quickly

I recomend:

Botanical Skin Resurfacing Facial
Body Treatment

Here’s the services and prices

Douglas J - Day Spa Salon, eXchange, & Aveda Institute

Michigan :sadiyah:

nice thanks

OMG

those services are really cheap!

Re: Michigan

You can take my words cause I worked for Ford for few years and know the good areas around that region ...

nggal is also right, Troy and Novi are some of the best areas of Greater Detroit but at least Troy will put you 50 minutes away from the airport. Novi is on the other side of the airport and further away from Dearborn. Ritz/Hyatt are 15 minutes from airport, 10 minutes from the heart of Dearborn, you can walk to the Fairlane shopping mall, Henry Ford Muesum is 5 minutes drive, Detroit Museum of Arts is 20 minutes, Dettoit Downtown is 30 minutes .. so in general, a very good location to stay.

LL ki bachi…chup! :smack:

u nvr come to the travel forum…but u just had to come for this didnt u! :hehe:
