I think its Javaid Miandad, in Sharjah cup again India... when he hit 6 on the last ball and PAKISTAN won the match............

For the youngsters who do not know the importance of that Six. That was the defining moment in the history of Pakistan Cricket. It really made them believe that they can compete at the highest level. They reached the semi-finals in the world cup in 1987. Lost to Australia (I watched the match live in Lahore at Qaddafi Stadium), and then went on to win the next world cup. IMO, that one shot by Miandad really gave them the confidence they needed.

I was only 4 that time, didn’t know about Cricket but that event did make me to learn English and Cricket afterwards. It was a start. My parents were happy to see me speaking a complete English sentence {Without Breaking} which were the last comment made by the commentator{Dunno his name}; and the very next day my parents decided to order Dawn newspaper so that I can improve my English learning skills. Cool story, haan? 
I still remember the commentary which goes like this:
Last ball coming up…four runs requried…{Big Roar}…and that’s a SIX…Pakistan has won…unbelieveable victory by Pakistan…
and after that being said, the commentator’s closing comments were:
I think this match begins with Miandad…continues with Miandad…and ends with Miandad
Since then I’ve idolized Miandad as my fav. Cricketer!
