Some people are already comparing these two players. Some are even saying he is better than Miandad!!
However, in my opinion no Pakistani batsman comes to Miandad. He has proven himself against all teams.
Don’t get me wrong - Inzamam is a worthy second and deserves all the praise he gets.

I don't even think Inzimam is the best of his generation, the title for that goes to Saeed Anwar.....Its really futile to compare Inzi to Miandad....Miandad is in a class by himself.....

I rate Inzimam and Saeed Anwer neck and neck as the best players of this - well actually the last generation
And Zaheer Abbas was definitly not a flat track bully

I think none of us is worthy of apointing ranks to our stars.. Zaheer, Hanif, Saeed, Javed, Inzi and many others were all great players and to me they are all #1 players for Pakistan..

Inzi never came through during cluth time like Javed...so Javed is the best, but Inzi is the most productive and consistent bastman Pakistan has seen in a very long time.

miandad certainly stands out, but the rest are pritty close so its one of those situations when no one wins the second place .............

I rate zaheerabas ahead of Miandad. he was more stylish and effective, Miandad has its own class, bat well under pressure and keep the game moving. miandad has more runs than him cause he got more time to play for Pakistan. he accepted Imran as captain, Zaheer Abbas didnt digest that a junior can be his captain and hence forced/left the team.
Inzi is best of present times,
Saeed is best opener of present times.

prolly you dont know much about cricket…zaheer abbas scored 274 against england in 1971 and then 240 at lords in 1974…he has also scored a test century against lillie and thomspon in australia ( i think in 1980)…plus he is still the only player from south asia to score 100 centuries in first class cricket…and out of those 100 centuries more than 50 were scored in england…kuch samajh may ayaaa baiwaqoof…

I would not say which guy is the best just because on the account of highest run scored, ZED is known as Asian Bradman, that speaks about himself what a great player he is, same applies for the Miandad (wicked fox of cricket)
simply Miandad is miandad and same for the rest of cricketers, The era in which they played cricket that is most important, so each is a champ in their own time.

Yaar Both Of these 2 players are awesome by representing pakistan and are undoubtly greatest of all times......i think they both played an equal part and the same amount of determination in their games.......so i dont think we should put them into comparisons !!!

Even Hick has made over 120 centuries playing in English county cricket!
Against Australia Zaheer made a century in a match when Lilee was coming back from his back operation. The least said about Doug Walters the better!!
Zaheer other century against Australia was at Faisalabad. Heck even my grandmother fancies her chances of making a century there.
Scoring runs against India and Srilankan bowling attack of late seventies and early eighties is no biggie.
Against Newzealand in 14 tests, he averages 17.
Against West Indies attack in 8 matches he avaerages 18.
