So i 've been having ‘Mezban’ ready to eat food for months , all of which have been SUPERB. I JUST had their halwa puri and channa for breakfast today and they are to die for. uffffff sooooooooooooooooooo good. better than what I get in all these stupid desi places in PA. My only complaint is the halwa serving size being miniature, but everything else was PERFECT. all my duas to the dawn bread folks ( they own Mezban). My freezer is stocked with their samosas, shami kabab, sheekh kabab, chicken tikka. yum yum. to all those busy desis who are missing paki food but don’t have the time to make it themselves, PLEASE try the mezban stuff.

mezbaan? mezbaan means host...i think the word is dastar-Khowaan that u meant to use :) dastar-Khowaan means table spread [in old days, there were no tables and the food was served on these spreads which was on top of the carpet or rug. dastar-Khowaans used to be so colorful N decorated.[/COLOR]

I've had that frozen halwa puri channa combo. Just can't remember the name, prolly the same one you mentioned. It's really really good indeed. Only if they had a bigger portion of halwa.

Thanks for the heads up:) I'll definitely avoid that. I am CRAVING the halwa purvi and channa right now:( but no desi store in Pittsburgh has it right now:'(. I had it in philly last time.
I had the aloo samosas earlier. they are also pretty good. def much better than the indian ones that are laced with "heeng" which i absolutely abhor (no offence to anyone).

Have to agree with Sara, their halwa is not good at all. Infact I had frozen halwa by another brand too (can't remember which one) and that wasn't good either.
