**Gunmen have killed 13 people at a high school birthday party in the Mexican city of Ciudad Juarez.**At least two adults and 11 teenagers died as gunmen arrived and began firing indiscriminately on dozens of partygoers, according to reports.
Officials said they did not believe the students had any links to the drug gangs that have made Ciudad Juarez one of the world’s most dangerous cities.
At least 15 other people died in the city, on the US border, at the weekend.
Witnesses said the gunmen drove up to the house in the early hours of Sunday in several cars.
They began shooting at people from outside the dwelling, and pursued some of the youngsters who jumped over a fence to get away.
A military campaign against drug cartels in Mexico has triggered a surge in violence that has left many thousands of people dead in the past three years.
