**Mexican police have detained a US TV producer days after he reported his wife missing from a resort in Cancun.**Bruce Beresford-Redman, who produced the hit series Survivor, reported his 42-year-old wife, Monica, missing on Monday.
Her body was later discovered in a water tank close to their room at the luxury Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort.
The couple, who arrived there on 31 March had been due to return to the US on Thursday.
The cause of Mrs Beresford-Redman’s death has yet to be determined.
The attorney general for Mexico’s Quintana Roo state, Francisco Alor, told the Associated Press news agency that Mr Beresford-Redman was being treated as a “person of interest” rather than a suspect.
