Dual standards where a generally needed project gets legitimate criticism for being ridiculously costly with no audit in place, and similar project escapes the wrath because it is half of the price of the said project? Seems like good standards to me.
A person whose only claim and interest in this debate is to take a pop at PTI supporters should not be talking about biased agenda.

Way before its time to claim proper feasibility and reduced cost of a project. We will see once its completed. Till then carry on with your mantra 'East or West, PIT is the best'.

Things will make sense if you dont compare KPK with Punjab. PTI got hold of KPK just 1.5 years ago. KPK has had long existing problems Punjab has never had, like afghan refugees, FATA next door and terrorism....and then some that punjab has too....eg, drugs, corruption and bad governance. After all this, there are certain things you cant help give credit to PTI govt for. Health, education and law and order have shown marked improvements, and corruption has gone down. Infrastructure projects are being built based on necessity, not political ambitions.
The Lahore metro green line was built in the last year of previous govt, solely for votes. All other lines are going through 'feasibility studies' even after 18 months. I believe the next Lahore metro route is planned for the last year of this term,again timed for elections.
Thats funny. Lahore metro is for votes, and Peshawar metro wouldn't be?

In KPK,infrastructure projects are secondary. The past year has seen a focus on strengthening of institutions......stuff like depoliticization of police, independence of NAB, disappearance of corruption and patwari culture. But since stuff like this doesnt glare like a [ooo shiney]red metrobus[/ooo shiney], you wont hear of it.

Also prove why Lahore Metro was not needed and Peshawer Metro is most needed project?
As mentioned in my previous, strengthening of institutions is not something you can see a CM driving for show and tell, hence things like reduced corruption, better policing and accountability wont be visible to naysayers.
And where did I say that Lahore metro was not needed? I said that Lahore metro was solely done for votes, which is why it was sped through will weak and unwise planning...which is why it was expensive, which is why it has high subsidies, and which is why it is criticized.
