METALLIC HIJAB...

Thanks darlin’ I’m glad u asked

Its actually very simple but kinda hard to explain in writing so taking hareem’s advice, I’m posting these videos for u to watch… I can’t understand a word she’s saying but it shows very nicely how to wear a turkish hijab. Hope that helps

Watch this for the hair spray part…

Re: METALLIC HIJAB...

1st i muted the vids..saw them twice..and i guess the 1st 2 are doable...i THINK lol...the 3rd one..id need to hire that lady to do it on me!she did it so quick!

i think the basic thing for the turkish style is to really tie up the hair in a big bun 1st..she used that black cloth...which i dont have:(

but i loved seeing them..and huma thankew u soo much hun for takin out the time and putting these here!!:D

i got many silk scarves like that////and im gona practise putting it on like that and hopefully look nice..:/..seriously wearing a hijab can be tough sometimes!esp at weddings!!lol :(

lolz I know the 3rd one is HARD! but the reason I posted that one was so that you could see what the purpose of the hair spray was… to give the hijab a well rounded shape which in turn enhances one’s facial structure.

Yup tying ur hair up in a high bun is one thing and another trick lies in how and where you fold the hijab when pinning it under your chin.
Also, she didn’t just use a black cloth, she used what we call a hijab cap which serves two purposes: (a) it makes sure each n every hair is covered and (b) it serves as a base for the silky hijab preventing it from slipping down. (but you also have to use pins ofcourse, to make sure your hijab stays on all day)

Hijab caps are cheap and easily available here:

You’re right, its actually a lot harder than it looks in the videos above, I suggest you should ask someone to help you the first few times and then gradually you’ll be able to wear the turkish style all by yourself. Practice does make perfect

Do remember to visit this thread again on sunday.. i’ll be posting another style.

Cheers
